The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced Wednesday, July 6 that service operations have been updated for the Grand Lake Bridge.

Effective Wednesday, July 6, at 3 p.m., Grand Lake Bridge will only be open to vehicle traffic from 5 a.m.-9 a.m. and from 3 p.m.-7 p.m. Message boards will be in place at the bridge to advise motorists of the allotted times for vehicle traffic. This modified schedule will remain in place until Grand Lake Bridge returns to normal operations.

The periods of closure on the bridge are necessary to allow for mechanical repairs.
