Grand Lake bank robbed, three arrested

On Thursday, Aug. 18, at 8:03 a.m. the Cameron Parish Sheriff’s Office received a call from First Horizon Bank in Grand Lake of a possible break in. Video surveillance showed that during the early morning hours, two males entered the bank through the back door. Photos of the two suspects were sent to local media and an anonymous caller identified the two suspects as Derrick Haley and Gabriel Leger, both of Lake Charles.

Using the Sheriff’s Office LPR system Detectives were able to track a vehicle used by the suspects driving south on LA 385 around 4 a.m. Arrest warrants were issued for Haley and Leger. Cameron Sheriff’s Office Detectives assisted by Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office located Leger at a Trailer Park in Lake Charles. Haley turned himself into Lake Charles Police Department. Further investigation led to the arrest of Grand Lake resident Michael LeDoux.

All arrested suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Investigating the case for the Cameron Sheriff’s Office were Detective Tammy Gaspard, Detective Arron Istre, and Detective Benji Primeaux.
