Geraldine Boudreaux Richard, 85, of Sweetlake, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023, in a local hospital.

She was born in Creole. She attended Grand Chenier High School and went on to own and operate Richard Feed Store.

Survivors include her children, Sherrie Theriot (Brien), Pam Savoie, and Randall Richard (Christi); six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Savoie and Martha Conner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mayo Boudreaux and Lucia Theriot Boudreaux; husband, Ervin Richard; four brothers; and three sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, Dec. 14, at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, Lake Charles. Father Wayne LeBleu served as Celebrant. Burial followed in Sweetlake-Grand Lake Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
