Geraldine Mary Broussard LaBove, 79, of Bell City died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021 in a local hospital.

She was born in Creole where she lived most of her life until moving to Sweetlake after Hurricane Rita.

She is survived by her children, Brad Trahan (Keith Chamberlain) of Lake Charles and Lori Theriot (Vince) of Grand Chenier; a brother, Roger Broussard of Westlake; two grandchildren, all of Sweetlake; two great grandchildren, both of Sweetlake; and stepchildren, Scott LaBove, Recia Warner, and Brady LaBove.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry LaBove; parents, Gladys and Lee Broussard; and a brother.

A funeral service was held Saturday, Dec. 11, at the Vineyard Church. Burial followed in Sweetlake-Grand Lake Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
