A free Fiber Optics Training for Cameron Parish residents will be held Monday, Jan. 13, from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at the Grand Lake Elementary School Cafeteria, 1025 Hwy 384, Grand Lake.
To be eligible for free Fiber Optics training you must:
Be a Cameron resident, have a high school diploma or GED, attend the informational session.
The five-day training include the certifications to become a Fiber Optics Technician, including Certified Fiber Optics Technician (CFOT), Certified Fiber Optics Specialist in Testing & Maintenance (CFOS/T) and Certified Fiber Optics Specialist in Splicing (CFOS/S). Classes are theory-based with practical hands-on training. Training spots are limited.
