Food for Seniors pickup set September 15

On Thursday Sept. 15, the Food For Seniors Program will be available for pick up in Cameron Parish through the Cameron COA/CAA. This is a different program from the distribution of the Catholic Charities boxes that are received in the parish.

You MUST be 60 years old or older and pre-registered to receive this box. You may call the Cameron COA/CAA at 337-905-6000 ext. 6 for Jean, for more information.

Until further notice the boxes will be available for pickup for areas of Cameron, Creole, Grand Chenier, Sweelake, Grand Lake, and Big Lake, at the Grand Lake Faith Temple, located at 655 Hwy. 384 (between Boone’s/Quick Mart #2 and Dollar General), from 12 -2 p.m.;

For Hackberry at the Old Hackberry Community Center from 9:30-11:30 a.m.;

For Johnson/Holly Beach at the Johnson Bayou Recreation Center from 1:30-2:30 p.m.;

For Klondike/Lowry the area rep. will be in contact for delivery.

All boxes MUST BE picked up that day, since we have help that day and do NOT have extra storage for the boxes. Have someone pick up the box for you if you cannot make it that day.

If you would like to pre-register for the Food For Seniors Program starting with October’s box, you may call 337-905-6000 ext. 6 for Jean, and bring your Driver’s License, SS Card, and Income to the Cameron COA/CAA Office, located at 965 Hwy. in Grand Lake.

If you are in Hackberry or Johnson Bayou, you may bring your information to the Hackberry Rep. on distribution day.

If you are pre-registered for the September box, a COA/CAA Rep. will be in contact with you to remind you of the day/time frame for pickup.
