GRAVITY DRAINAGE
DISTRICT NO 4
September 22, 2021
Gravity Drainage District No. 4 held a regular meeting at Grand Lake Water Works District #11 Office, 111 Dennis Lane, Bell City, Louisiana 70630, at 5:30 p.m., on Wednesday, September 22, 2021.
PRESENT: Leslie Griffith, Todd Morales, Dan Nunez
ABSENT: Shane Broussard and Mike Semien
The meeting was called to order by C0-Chairman Dan Nunez.
Present for the public comment period was Kara Bonsall with Cameron Parish Police Jury.
On motion of Mr. Morales, seconded by Mr. Griffith and carried, the Board agreed to rent the machine being used by Kent LaBove when he is ready to move into the district to begin cleaning laterals.
On motion of Mr. Morales, seconded by Mr. Griffith and carried, the Board agreed to rescind the motion made at the July meeting concerning the bids for hourly hiring of a machine and operator to clean laterals.
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Morales and carried, the minutes of the Wednesday, August 18, 2021 meeting were approved.
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Morales and carried, the financial report was approved.
On motion of Mr. Morales, seconded by Mr. Griffith and carried, the following bills were approved for payment.
1. Marshland Equipment Rentals; Invoice #3991 – Fabricate rack for jack and high lift hand to lift slats – $500.00
2. Marshland Equipment Rentals; Invoice #3923 – Fabricate tool box including labor and materials – $4,655.46
3. Lonnie G. Harper and Associates; Invoice #7 – Payment Application #7 (100% complete to date) LHA Project No. 2018-72 Kings Bayou Water Relief Structure – Phase II – $2,345.31.
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Morales and carried, the Board authorized Chairman Shane Broussard to sign the North American Wetlands Conservation Act Grant Partner Agreement – US-LA-226-1; Chenier Plain Marsh Enhancement (Tract 1 – South Oak Grove Structures).
There being no further business, on motion of Mr. Morales, seconded by Mr. Griffith and carried, the meeting was declared adjourned.
