REGULAR BUSINESS MEETING MONDAY
JANUARY 8, 2024
The Johnson Bayou Recreation District of Cameron Parish met Monday January 8, 2024, at 5:00p.m. The meeting was held at the Johnson Bayou Recreation Center located at 135 Berwick Rd. Johnson Bayou, LA 70631.
Members present: Mrs. Pamela Romero, Mrs. Adrienne Jinks, Ms. Tammy Erbelding and Mr. Calise Romero
Members absent: none
Guests: Mrs. Heather Trahan and Mr. Adam Young
Mr. Calise Romero called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm
The pledge and prayer were led by Mr. Calise Romero
Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comments were made.
Submitted bids for repairs to the baseball field were reviewed. A motion was made by Mrs. Pamela Romero, seconded by Mrs. Adrienne Jinks, and carried to accept Mr. Scotty Badon’s bid.
A motion was made by Mrs. Pamela Romero, seconded by Ms. Tammy Erbelding, and carried to accept the bid from The Cameron Pilot as the official journal for 2024.
Mrs. Pamela Romero nominated Mr. Calise Romero as president. He accepted the nomination. The motion was seconded by Mrs. Adrienn Jinks and carried. Mr. Calise Romero will be president of the board for 2024.
Mr. Calise Romero made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Adrienne Jinks and carried for Mrs. Pamela Romero to retain her position as Vice President.
A motion was made by Mrs. Adrienne Jinks, seconded by Mrs. Pamela Romero, and carried to accept the minutes from the December 4, 2023, meeting.
It was moved by Mrs. Pamela Romero, seconded by Mrs. Adrienne Jinks, and carried to approve the bills as paid.
A motion was made by Mrs. Pamela Romero, seconded by Mrs. Adrienne Jinks, and carried to accept review of the financial statements which includes budget-to-actual comparisons.
With no further business to discuss, it was moved by Mr. Calise Romero, seconded by Mrs. Adrienne Jinks, and carried to adjourn the meeting at 5:30 pm. The next regular meeting will be held in March.
