POLICE JURY
BUDGET MEETING
NOVEMBER 8, 2023
The Cameron Parish Police Jury met in regular session on Wednesday November 8, 2023, in the Cameron Parish West Annex Board Room in the Village of Cameron, Louisiana at 1:00 o’clock P.M. for the review of the 2023 Budget and to hear budget request. The following members were present: Mr. Joe Dupont, Mr. Scott Trahan, Mr. McKinley Guidry, Mr. Lawrence Faulk, Mr. Magnus McGee and Mr. Kirk Quinn. Mr. Thomas McDaniel and Mr. Curtis Fountain were absent.
Kayla Johnson, Treasurer, reviewed the 2023 Budget with the jury and answered any questions concerning the report.
Mr. Dupont, President opened the floor for budget request.
Katie Armentor, Parish Administrator addressed the jury and requested to get an appraisal on property owned by Ken Badon in front of the courthouse for possible Police Jury purchase. It was moved by Mr. Trahan, seconded by Mr. Guidry, and carried this request was approved.
Katie Armentor, Parish Administrator addressed the jury and requested authority to allow Marshland Equipment to clean the drainage lateral in Klondike in the amount of $117,000.00. The jury discussed and determined to get 3 quotes to clean the lateral and use the lowest quote.
Katie Armentor, Parish Administrator addressed the jury and asked for the jury to allocate money not to exceed $250,000.00 for the Marshall Street Project. This will cover the 25% match needed for Capital Outlay funding.
With no other discussion or action needed, the budget meeting was adjourned.
