CAMERON PARISH WATER AND WASTEWATER DISTRICT NO. 1

The Cameron Parish Water and Wastewater District No. 1 Board met in regular session on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 4:00 PM in the water district office located at 126 Ann Street in the town of Cameron, Louisiana.
Guest: Brent Morales, Coastal Cans
President Chris Mooney called the meeting to order.
The Pledge was led by Chris Mooney and the voluntary Prayer was led by Chris Mooney
Roll Call: Present: Chris Mooney, Tammy Peshoff and Fred Sanders
Absent: Kathy Guthrie and Cecil Clark
There were no Public Comments.
On a motion by Tammy Peshoff, seconded by Fred Sanders and carried, to approve and dispense from reading the regular session October 6, 2020 minutes.
On a motion by Fred Sanders, seconded by Tammy Peshoff and carried, to approve the financial statement for the month of October.
On a motion by Tammy Peshoff, seconded by Fred Sanders and carried, that the bills for the month of October 2020 be paid.
On a motion by Fred Sanders, seconded by Tammy Peshoff and carried, to get quotes for laptop with utility billing services.
Thereupon, the following resolution was then introduced, and pursuant to motion made by Fred Sanders and seconded by Tammy Peshoff, was adopted by the following vote:
Yeas: Christine Mooney, Tammy Peshoff and Fred Sanders
Nays: none
Absent: Cecil Clark III and Kathy Guthrie
A resolution ordering and calling a special election to be held in Cameron Parish Water and Wastewater District No.1, Cameron, Louisiana, on March 20, 2021, for the purpose of submitting to the electors residing in the district qualified under the constitution and laws of the State of Louisiana, a proposition for renewal of an Ad Valorem Property Tax Millage for the purpose of operating and maintaining said district’s water and wastewater systems within and for said district, and making application to the State Bond Commission in connection therewith.
Thereupon, the following resolution was then introduced, and pursuant to motion made by Fred Sanders and seconded by Tammy Peshoff, was adopted by the following vote:

Nays: none
Absent: Cecil Clark III and Kathy Guthrie
A resolution authorizing publication of notice describing the geographic limits of Cameron Parish Water and Wastewater District No. 1, Cameron, Louisiana.
On a motion by Tammy Peshoff, seconded by Fred Sanders and carried, to have Meyer & Associates to bid out quotes for repairs to water tower.
On a motion by Tammy Peshoff, seconded by Fred Sanders and carried, to accept the bid from 2 to 1 Metal for repairs on office building at 126 Ann Street, Cameron, Louisiana.
On a motion by Fred Sanders, seconded by Tammy Peshoff and carried, there being no further business, the meeting stands adjourned.
