Ernest Granger

Ernest Ray Granger, 82, of Sulphur died on Friday, May 7, 2021.

He was born in Lake Charles. He graduated from Grand Lake High School in 1957. He was an Eagle Scout in Boy Scouts. He worked at Citgo for 39 years as an Operator. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Theresa Catholic Church, and a 3rd Degree Knight of Council 8058 in Carlyss.

He is survived by his wife, Clara Granger; four children, Phyllis Ann Watts and husband, Bruce, Cyndi Granger Meche and husband, Tim, Glen Anthony Granger and wife, Lisa, and Theresa Marie Granger; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Joseph Neil Granger; and one sister, Judy Broussard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Susan Granger; and a brother, Harold Granger.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, May 11, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Rev. Timothy Goodly officiated service. Burial followed in Grand Lake Cemetery under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
