Early voting dates told

Cameron Parish Open General/Congressional Election will be held Saturday, Dec. 10.

Early Voting will be conducted for seven days Nov. 26 to Dec. 3 (excluding Sunday, Nov. 27), at the Cameron Parish Police Jury West Annex, located at 148 Smith Circle, Cameron, from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
Grand Lake Library (three days), 10200 Gulf Hwy., Grand Lake, on Saturday, Nov. 26, Monday, Nov. 28 and Tuesday, Nov. 29, from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m.

Hackberry Community Center (one day), 980 Main St., Hackberry, on Friday, Dec. 2, from 8:30 a.m.- 6 p.m.

The deadline to register to vote through the GeauxVote online registration systems was Saturday, Nov. 19.

The deadline to request an absentee ballot is Tuesday, Dec. 6 by 4:30 p.m. (other than military and overseas voters). You can request an absentee ballot online on www.geauxvote.com or in writing through your Registrar of Voters office.

The deadline for a registrar of voters to receive a voted absentee ballot is Friday, Dec. 9 by 4:30 p.m. (other than military and overseas voters).

On election day, the polls open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m.
