Duncan was born to J. W. and Joann (Rutherford) Doxey on Oct. 17, 1962. He was the oldest of four children. Duncan spent his early years in Cameron then the family later moved to Grand Chenier. He was a graduate of South Cameron High School and Louisiana Technical University in Ruston with an Electrical Engineering degree.

He passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at Rosewood Nursing Home.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his mother, and his brother Joseph (Joey) Doxey.

He is survived by his son, Wesley Doxey; his sister, Denine Gasway and husband Brad of Albuquerque, New Mexico; his brother, Bryan Doxey and wife Teena of Ruston; 2 nieces and 3 nephews.

Services to be held at a later date.

His cremation has been entrusted to Simple Traditions Johnson’s Funeral Home in Lake Charles.
