Matt Dufresne has been named the new athletic director at Grand Lake High School.

Coach Dufresne is a graduate of Sulphur High School where he was an outstanding football player.

He began his coaching career at South Beauregard High School before returning to his alma mater as an assistant on the Sulphur Golden Tors coaching staff until 2018. In 2019 he was an assistant at DeQuincy High School before becoming head coach for the Tigers from 2020-22. He then moved on to Iowa High School where he has served as defensive coordinator for the past two seasons.

Coach Dufresne will also serve as the defensive coordinator for the Hornets as he and head coach Jeff Wainwright have a strong relationship that goes way back so Coach Dufresne will feel right at home in Cameron Parish!
