DISTRICT NO. 9
November 6, 2023
The Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 9 met in regular session on Monday, November 6, 2023, at South Cameron High School, 753 Oak Grove Hwy, Grand Chenier, LA 70643.
The following members were present: Mr. Joseph Baccigalopi, Ms. Earnestine Horn, and Mr. Kevin Warner.
The following members were absent: Mr. Shane Broussard and Mr. Armand Richard VI
Mr. Baccigalopi called the meeting to order.
It was moved by Ms. Horn, seconded by Mr. Warner, and carried, that the minutes from the previous meeting are hereby approved.
It was moved by Mr. Warner, seconded by Ms. Horn, and carried, that the financial statement is hereby approved.
It was moved by Mr. Warner, seconded by Ms. Horn, and carried to relocate the Grand Chenier Waterworks Office to the Cameron Parish School Board – Audrey Memorial Building pending approval from the Cameron Parish School Board. If approved, the President has the authority to sign a lease agreement for $6000 a year with the Cameron Parish School Board.
It was moved by Ms. Horn, seconded by Mr. Warner, and carried to advertise for bids for the repairs of the Waterworks Maintenance Storage Building.
It was moved by Mr. Warner, seconded by Ms. Horn and carried to purchase a cargo utility trailer.
It was moved by Ms. Horn, seconded by Mr. Warner, and carried Superintendent Hayes Picou III and Office Secretary Haley Willis will receive a $1.50 per hour raise.
It was moved by Ms. Horn, seconded by Mr. Warner, and carried to advertise for bids for the repairs of the Ground Water Storage.
It was moved by Ms. Horn seconded by Mr. Warner and carried, that the monthly invoices are approved.
There being no further business, on the motion of Mr. Warner, seconded by Ms. Horn and carried, the meeting was declared adjourned.
