OF CAMERON PARISH
November 15, 2023
Gravity Drainage District No. 4 of Cameron Parish held a regular meeting at Grand Lake Water Works District #11 Office, 111 Dennis Lane, Bell City, Louisiana 70630, at 5:30 p.m., on Wednesday, November 15, 2023.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Shane Broussard.
Boards members present for the meeting were: Shane Broussard, Dan Nunez, Leslie Griffith, Yancy Welch and Todd Morales.
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Morales and carried, the minutes of the Wednesday, October 18, 2023, meeting were approved.
Present for the Public Comment Period was Mr. Mitch Thomas, K & M Project Services, LLC.; Brian Arabie, Asst. District Attorney; Jenny Williams, Jeff Davis Electric; Bryon Richard, Royal Engineering.
Mr. Thomas and Mr. Arabie discussed the Middle Marsh Lateral Permit. Royale Engineering presented the proposed Right-of-Way to install transmission lines along the Creole Canal from the 4-way in Creole to Oak Grove highway.
On motion of Mr. Nunez, seconded by Mr. Morales and carried, the Board accepted the Right of Way Permit with Jeff Davis Electric with permit being subject to review by District Attorney’s office.
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Nunez and carried, the Board accepted the financial report of October 31, 2023.
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Nunez and carried, the Board accepted the 2022 Audit results from Mr. Coy Vincent with Gragson, Casiday & Guillory, LLP.
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Welch and carried, the Board approved the following bills for payment:
1. Jeff Davis Electric – $44.18 (Kings Bayou Structure)
On motion of Mr. Morales, seconded by Mr. Nunez and carried, the Board approved the following permit:
1. LCUP#231111 – GDD4 Permit – Creole, Latitude 19 48 15.22, Longitude -93 07 56.22 (Maintenance of Lateral “G”; proposed maintenance dredging 6,651 linear feet of drainage lateral to provide adequate drainage).
There being no further business, on the motion of Mr. Morales, seconded by Mr. Griffith and carried, the meeting was declared adjourned.
