CPAD #2 distributes drug deactivation pouches

Cameron Parish Ambulance District 2 stands with Louisiana Ambulance Alliance and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry on ending the opioid epidemic.

On Tuesday, Oct. 4 our medics, Compliance Officer/Paramedic Tommie Hicks and EMT Gary Evans, in Johnson Bayou handed out Deterra drug deactivating pouches to our seniors at Bingo.

These pouches assist with deactivating opioid based drugs that could potentially be used in a manner not prescribed by a physician. These pouches allow seniors (or anybody) to safely dispose of old medication without worry of them getting into the wrong hands. Join with us in “Ending the Epidemic”.
