COVID testing continues as positive tests increase

As positive COVID-19 cases in Cameron Parish increase, testing is being offered in the Cameron Parish area throughout June.

Testing began in Grand Lake and Hackberry, provided by the Louisiana National Guard in conjunction with the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness.

Participants must be at least 18 years old and have a valid ID. No symptoms are needed to be tested. Testing will continue from 8-11 a.m. on the following days:

  • Monday, June 22 – Cameron Community Center, 122 Recreation Center Lane; Hackberry Community Center, 980 Main St.
  • Tuesday, June 23 – Cameron Community Center, 122 Recreation Center Lane.
