Cecil Clark, III

Cecil William Clark, III, 63, of Cameron, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 20, 2022, at his home.

Cecil was born May 16, 1959, in Oak Grove, Cameron Parish, and was a lifelong resident of Cameron Parish. He was a graduate South Cameron High School, attended McNeese State University and served in the National Guard.

Cecil had many business endeavors with his entrepreneurial spirit. These included being the former owner of Doc Holidays night Club, Southern Sound Systems and Lake Area Army Surplus in Lake Charles as well as Rutherford Motel in Creole. He was a Notary Public and most recently worked for the Cameron Parish Police Jury.

Cecil’s passion in life was football, raising fruit trees, fishing, hunting and spending time with his close friends. He was also of the Catholic Faith.

Preceding Cecil in death are his wife, Leslie Clark; father, Cecil W. Clark, Jr., MD; brothers, John David Clark, Jack Benjamin Clark; sisters, Mary Elise Clark; Elizabeth Diane Clark and Ceclia Marie Clark; grandparents, Cecil William Clark, Joe and Elzabeth Jones Rutherford; John Alpha Baccigalopi and Lezima Montie.

Those left to honor and cherish his memories are his son, Cecil (Billy) Clark, IV and wife Tanya; grandsons, Oliver, Nathan, and Titus Clark, all of Miami, Fla.; mother, Sybil Baccigalopi Clark; brothers, Cecil Joseph Clark and wife Judy, Jennings Patrick Clark and wife Rachel, and Paul Benjamin Clark; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family of the heart.

A Rosary was recited at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 3, at the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Graveside Services followed at Sweet Lake Community Cemetery with Father Wayne LeBleu officiating.
