Carl Lee “Bubba” Trahan of Creole died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, at the age 73.
He enlisted in the United States Army, 25th Infantry Division and served in Vietnam. He worked as an operator and was also a cattleman. He graduated from South Cameron High and was a member of Woodmen of the World. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church of Creole.
Survivors are his wife, Judy Nunez Trahan; son, Brian Trahan (Devon); daughters, Melissa Manuel, Racheal Trahan; sister, and Carolyn Benoit (Floyd); nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Murl and Margie (Boudoin) Trahan; and one brother.
A Mass of Christian burial was held in St. Raphael Catholic Church Monday, Sept. 20, with Rev. Roland Vaughn as Celebrant. Burial followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
