Johnson Bayou
The Johnson Bayou Lady Rebels placed 1st overall in the Cameron Parish track meet held at Johnson Bayou High School on Wednesday, Mar. 13.
Here are the events the girls placed in:
Lydia Trahan 1st Place 100, 200, 400, 1600 relay
Kinsley Romero 2nd place 800, 3200, 1st place 1600 relay
Kenzi Perry 3rd place 800, 3rd place 1600, 1st place 1600 relay
Abbygail Corner 2nd place 1600, 2nd place 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles, 1st place 1600 relay
Madison Corner 3rd place 100 hurdles
Gabby Trahan 2nd place long jump
Bella Trahan 2nd place shot put
Hackberry
Hackberry High School Lady Mustangs place third at the Cameron Parish Track meet on Wednesday, Mar. 13. The HHS Mustangs are the Parish Champs. Both teams are coached by Angie Little.
Lady Mustangs participating were: Aubre Mire, Ruby Mullinax, Sydni Boudreaux, Coach Little, Kynlin Moore, Rylee Spicer, Lily Spicer, Hadlie Vincent, Blair Walker, Velle Devall, Kinsley Brown, and Kynzlee Thibodeaux.
Mustangs participants were: Ike Little, Kaston Moore, Walker Poole, Landon Hebert, Wyatt Poole, Lane Gray, Brant Thomas, Greyson Duhon, Tyler LeJeune, Ely Walker, Talon Moses and Dane Christy. Walker was named Outstanding Field Performer.
This was their first track meet. Both teams competed well considering most are also playing softball and baseball.
Coach Little said, “I am proud of all of them and the effort they gave in their respective events. We will be competing in the Bell City meet next week.”
