Cameron 4-H Junior Leaders had their second meeting of the new school year on Monday, Oct. 17. President Kaden Jackson led the meeting.
They talked about fundraisers and upcoming events that the club will participate in. Vice President Jolie Dupuie, led the club in an icebreaker game of two truths and a lie (4-H edition).
The meeting’s presentation, given by Treasurer Delinda Landry and Service Learning Chair Kinsley Sibille, included information on the Ambassador opportunities on the state level, including wetlands, shooting sports, and livestock.
They went on to create a demonstration of the Mississippi River and part of the delta using snacks such as peanut M&Ms, representing pollution, goldfish represented the fish, and animal crackers represented the wildlife.
Their next meeting will be held on Monday, Nov. 7, at 6 p.m. at the Cameron 4-H Office. This meeting will be the last meeting to pay dues and join the club. Junior Leaders is open to Cameron 4-H members in 8th-12th grade.
