Bobbie Dean Billeaud, 78, of Hackberry, died in a local care facility. He was born in Holly Beach, was a lifelong resident of Hackberry and was a 1964 graduate from Hackberry High School. While at Hackberry High School, he played on the basketball team, ran track, and was on Benny’s “Little 11” football team.

After high school he went on to serve in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Himont in 2002 after a long career.

Survivors are his companion, Louella Nunez; sisters, Hilda Temple and Sadie Benoit.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stafford Billeaud and Mattie Williams.

Funeral services were held on Friday, Feb. 9, at the Old Hackberry Community Center. Burial followed in Hackberry Community Cemetery.
