Hornets stun South Beau
On Friday Feb. 28, the Grand Lake Hornets traveled to Vinton to compete in the Sammy Dean Yellott Memorial Tournament which is co-hosted by Vinton every year, their opponent was the defending Division 3 Non-Select State Champion South Beauregard Golden Knights. However, the Hornets were anything but intimidated as Grand Lake made a true statement by taking down the Knights 4-1 and putting Class 1A and the rest of Southwest Louisiana on notice.
Kasen Quinn was 1-3 with an RBI, Rylan Young was 1-2 with an RBI, Matthew Fitkin was 1-3, and Caisom Maynard was 1-1.

Kinder holds off late rally by Grand Lake
The Grand Lake Hornets travels to Vinton on Saturday Mar. 1, in the Sammy Dean Yellott Memorial Tournament to play the Kinder Yellowjackets, despite a late rally in the 7th inning. The Jackets would hold off the Hornets.
Law Faulk was 2-4 with 2 RBIs, Kasen Quinn was 1-3, Rylan Young was 1-4, Zac Manuel was 1-4, Grayson Daigle was 1-3, and Caison Maynard was 2-4.

Hornets take down Rosepine
On Monday Mar. 3, the Grand Lake Hornets hosted the Rosepine Eagles. Just like in the Vinton tournament they would yet again make another big statement win as the Hornets would rally to beat Rosepine 5-1.
Rylan Young went the distance recording 6 strikeouts.
Kasen Quinn was 1-3, Rylan Young was 1-3 with 2 RBIs, Matthew Fitkin was 1-3, Wyatt Wilkerson was 2-3, Zac Manuel was 1-2, and Noah Broussard was 1-2 with an RBI.
