NOTICE OF VALUE INCREASE FOR HOME OWNERS
All homeowners in Cameron Parish should have received letters this week regarding an increase in value. We would like to apologize for not providing clarification for the increase as we have done in previ.ous years. We hope this notice will do just that, albeit a little late on our part.
Our office provided Hurricane Laura/Delta disaster reductions on all buildings throughout the parish for 2020, 2021 and 2022. Those reductions have been removed for the 2023 tax year and the build.ings have been returned to their pre-storm values.
We want to continue to help those adversely affected by these natu.ral disasters where possible and will continue to work with property owners to the best of our ability to ensure a fair market value is reached. If you disagree with the value on your building, please contact our office no later than September 15, 2023 to discuss your concerns.
