NOTICE OF VALUE INCREASE FOR CAMERON PARISH HOME OWNERS
You will be receiving a Notice of Value by mail. As you will see,there has been an increase in value for all buildings. Our office pro.vided Hurricane Laura/Delta disaster reductions on all buildingsthroughout the parish for 2020 and 2021. Those reductions are still in place but have been modified for the 2022 tax year.
We want to continue to help those adversely affected by the recent natural disasters where possible and will continue to workwith property owners to the best of our ability to ensure a fair marketvalue is reached. If you disagree with the enclosed value on yourbuilding, please contact our office no later than September 15, 2022 to discuss your concerns.
HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION:
If you are unable to live in your homestead property, you can file for a Disaster Homestead Continuation which will allow you tomaintain your homestead even though you are temporarily unableto live in your home. This is ONLY good if you DO NOT file for homestead anywhere else while your home is being repaired.
