PROCEEDINGS 

The Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 10 met in regular session at the Waterworks office located at 6246 Gulf Beach Hwy. in Johnson Bayou on August 11, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. Members present by roll call were Connie Trahan, Nathan Griffith, Kent Carlson, Bobbie Trahan, and Mark Young.  Members absent were none.  The employees attending were Rhonda Morrison, Shannon Hebert, and Carl Trahan.

It was moved by Nathan Griffith to call the meeting to order.

The pledge was said by all present. The prayer was led by Nathan Griffith.

It was moved by Mark Young to accept the agenda as presented with changes. The motion was seconded by Kent Carlson and carried.

A Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comment was made.

It was moved by Connie Trahan, seconded by Bobbie Trahan, and carried to accept the July minutes as read.

The 2026 well test was reviewed.  The project will be discussed again once the community water development grant is received.

The changing of office hours was discussed.  It was moved by Mark Young to approve 4-10’s for all employees.  No public comment was made.  The motion was seconded by Kent Carlson and carried.

The health insurance was discussed. It was moved by Kent to approve the 100% vs. 95/5 coverage by the Water District for all employees to follow the Cameron Parish Police Juror’s decision. No public comment was made.  The motion was seconded by Bobbie Trahan and carried.

The maintenance documents were reviewed.

It was moved by Connie Trahan, seconded by Mark Young, and carried to approve the bank statements and the Actual vs. Budget report for the month ending July 2026.

It was moved by Bobbie Trahan, seconded by Kent Carlson, and carried to approve the bills as paid.

With no further business to discuss, it was moved by Nathan Griffith to adjourn the meeting @ 5:30 pm. R.S. 44:33.1 – Public records can be obtained by contacting Rhonda Morrison at (337) 569-2110 or 6246 Gulf Beach Hwy. in Johnson Bayou, Louisiana.
