Cameron Parish Recreation District 5 held its regularly scheduled meeting on July 15, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.
Board member Tremayne Picou called the meeting to order and on roll call the following members were present: Thomas Cox and Kayla Conner
Absent: Brett Bellard and Jacob Babcock
Employees in attendance were Lisa Ledano.
Guests in attendance: none
Minutes of the previous meeting, June 17, 2021, were distributed to all board members via electronic mail prior to the meeting. Thomas Cox made a motion to approve the minutes as presented. Kayla Conner seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.

Public Comment – time was allowed for public comment prior to voting on all agenda items.
Hurricane update – Tremayne Picou informed the board members present that Mallard Construction Group, LLC was hired to remove and replace the existing roof on the gymnasium. The contractor required one half of the customer up front for the purchase of materials. Estimated time for receipt of materials is 8 to 9 weeks.
Approval of bills – The board members present reviewed the invoices for the month of June 2021. Kayla Conner made a motion to approve the bills. Thomas Cox seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
Approval of treasurer’s report -The June 2021 treasurer’s reports was distributed to all board members via electronic mail prior to the meeting. Thomas Cox made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report as presented. Kayla Conner seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
The board’s next meeting is schedule to be held on August 19, 2021.
With no further business to discuss, Kayla Conner made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Thomas Cox seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
