Albert Crain

Albert John Crain, 58, of Lake Charles died Saturday, Apr. 17, 2021 in a Houston Care Facility.

Mr. Crain was a native of Lake Charles where he had lived the past ten years. He lived most of his life in Grand Chenier. A graduate of South Cameron High School, Mr. Crain owned and operated Crain Brothers, Inc.

He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed fishing, hunting, snow skiing and traveling the country outdoor excursions. He loved the plains of West Texas and the mountains of Colorado. Mr. Crain was well known for his immense generosity and willingness to help others. He will be most remembered for his wealth of knowledge and his love of life and living it.

He leaves to honor his memory, his son, Kale Channing Crain of Lake Charles; sister, Rachel Crain Corley (Jerry) of Grand Lake and caretaker and dear friend, Christina Grace Duhon of Houston, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm Lyle “Butch” Crain and Hilda Miller Crain.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.

A gathering of friends in honor and remembrance was held from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Apr. 27, at University Baptist Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
