REGULAR BUSINESS MEETING MONDAY
FEBRUARY 19, 2024
The Johnson Bayou Recreation District of Cameron Parish met Monday February 19, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the Johnson Bayou Recreation Center located at 135 Berwick Rd. Johnson Bayou, LA 70631.
Members present: Mr. Calise Romero Mrs. Pamela Romero, Ms. Tammy Erbelding and Mr. Adam Young
Members absent: none
Guests: Mrs. Heather Trahan and Mr. Scotty Badon
Mr. Calise Romero called the meeting to order at 6:06 p.m.
The pledge and prayer were led by Mr. Calise Romero
A Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comments were made.
Mr. Scotty Badon updated the board on the completion of the repairs to the baseball field.
Mr. Calise Romero welcomed the newest board member, Mr. Adam Young, and received his paperwork certifying his Oath of Office.
Mrs. Heather Trahan presented the board with prices to replace the maintenance tractor. Mrs. Pamela Romero made a motion, seconded by Mr. Adam Young and carried to approve $65,000 for the purchase of a tractor with implements.
The board asked the director to get prices to have the water slides replaced at the pool.
A motion was made by Mrs. Pamela Romero, seconded by Mr. Adam Young, and carried to accept the minutes from the January 8, 2024 meeting.
It was moved by Mrs. Pamela Romero, seconded by Mr. Adam Young, and carried to approve the bills as paid.
A motion was made by Mrs. Pamela Romero, seconded by Mr. Adam Young, and carried to accept review of the financial statements which includes budget-to-actual comparisons.
With no further business to discuss, it was moved by Mrs. Pamela Romero, seconded by Mr. Adam Young, and carried to adjourn the meeting at 6:38 pm. The next regular meeting will be held in April.
