Service Procurement
The Cameron Area Agency on Aging/ Council on Aging is accepting proposals on congregate, and home delivered meal services for elderly residents of Cameron Parish. The agency is mandated to offer these services for competitive bidding in order to assure quality services are provided and provided in an efficient manner.
Proposals will be accepted only these services.
Proposals will be accepted for all or some of the services advertised.
The contract period for all services will be the length of the Area Plan which runs from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2027. Proposed contracts are contingent on Federal, State and local funding levels and may be subject to increases, reductions or termination. Annual audits are required, the cost assumed by the service provider.
Assurances are required for equal service delivery, without regard to race, color, sex, national origin, or handicap. These same assurances are necessary regarding hiring of employees and promotions.
It will be the responsibility of the provider to maintain adequate service records. Full evaluation and monitoring procedures are also necessary.

The proposal deadline is Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 11:45 a.m. at the Council on Aging office 965 Hwy. 384 in Grand Lake. Sealed proposal packets may be hand carried to that address prior to bid opening or may be mailed to 965 Hwy 384, Lake Charles, La. 70607. Bid packet must be marked “Confidential Sealed Bid” on the outside of the envelope. Public opening by a committee of the board and the executive director will be held at 12:00 noon on April 27, 2023, at the 965 Hwy 384, Grand Lake, La. Office. Anyone that is present for the bid opening will be able to review the proposals between 12:15 and 12:30 pm.
The Cameron AAA/COA will award or deny proposal(s) at a meeting to be held on April 27, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the agency office, 965 Hwy 384, Grand Lake, La. Cameron AAA/COA reserves the right to refuse any or all of the proposed bids.
