DISTRICT NO 4

OF CAMERON PARISH

AUGUST 19, 2026

Gravity Drainage District No. 4 of Cameron Parish held a regular meeting at South Cameron High School, 753 Oak Grove Highway, Grand Chenier, Louisiana 70643, at 5:30 pm, on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.

Chairman Shane Broussard called the meeting to order.

Board members present for the meeting were Shane Broussard, Yancy Welch, Dan Nunez, Zavier Theriot and Leslie Griffith.  All members were present.

On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Welch and carried, the minutes of the Wednesday, July 22, 2026 meeting were approved.

In Old Business, Mr. Mitch Thomas, K & M Project Services, LLC was present and updated the Board on Permits and discussed the West Creole Ridge Restoration Project.

On motion of Mr. Nunez, seconded by Mr. Theriot and carried, the Board accepted the financial report of July, 2026.

On motion of Mr. Nunez, seconded by Mr. Griffith and carried, the Board approved the following bills for payment:

1. Jeff Davis Electric Co-Op – $89.60

2. Cameron Pilot – $29.00

On motion of Mr. Theriot, seconded by Mr. Welch and carried, the Board approved the following two (2) permits:

a.) LCUP260902 Cameron Parish Gravity Drainage District No. 4 – Location of Permit:  Oak Grove, Creole Canal, (West Oak Grove Hydrologic Improvements; proposes removal of an old, non-functional water control structure, installation of a new water control structure (variable-crested weirs) and construction of an earthen plug.)

b.) LCUP260901 Beach Comber Shrimping, LLC – Location of Permit:  Creole Canal, south of Oak Grove Highway, Creole (proposes construct wooden dock (18ft x 12 ft) by driving pylons and install 2 mooring dolphins on the north and south side of dock in order to safely secure shrimp boat.  Cleanout debris from previous hurricanes with the Creole Canal, removal of old pylons near bank line along the applicant’s own waterfront frontage.)

There being no further business, on a motion from Mr. Nunez, seconded by Mr. Griffith and carried, the meeting was declared adjourned.
