PROCEEDINGS
The Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 10 met in Regular session on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. via teleconferencing meeting the quorum requirements per La. R.S. 42:19 during the COVID-19 health emergency.
Members present were Mrs. Connie Trahan, Mr. Kent Carlson, Mr. Nathan Griffith, Mr. Jim Snyder and Mr. Wesley Roberts.
Members absent were none.
Guests attending were Rhonda Morrison, Jeff Landry and Carl Trahan.
It was moved by Mr. Griffith to call the meeting to order.
The prayer was led by Mr. Griffith. The pledge was said by all present.
It was moved by Mr. Snyder and seconded by Mr. Roberts and carried to accept the minutes as read.
Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comment was made.
The Treatment Facility storage tank project was discussed. American Tank started blasting this week and will seal the tank by the end of the week.
The Supervisor position was discussed. Jeff and Carl will remain equal for the next 6 months then re-evaluated. It was moved by Mrs. Trahan to give Carl a .13 an hour increase in pay to make him and Jeff’s salary equal. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Mr. Carlson and carried.
It was moved by Mr. Snyder to adopt the following Late Fee Police during the COVID-19 health emergency.
Waiver of Late Fee/Disconnection
Due to the COVID-19 Statewide Public Health Emergency declared by the Governor of the State of Louisiana and/or President of the United States, Cameron Parish Waterworks District #10 will no charge monthly late fees or disconnect water meters due to non-payment. This police will no affect the ability to disconnect a customer’s water service for public safety concerns related to non-payment of services. This police will remain in effect until the State of Emergency is lifted.
No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Mr. Roberts and carried.
It was moved by Mr. Carlson, seconded by Mr. Roberts and carried to approve the bills as paid.
With no further business to discuss, it was moved by Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Carlson and carried to adjourn the meeting at 5:25 p.m.
