The Cameron Community Action Agency is seeking persons with needs in Cameron Parish. If you are low income and are having problems with paying your utility bill please contact the Cameron Community Action Agency immediately at 337-905-6000. We are here to help you. The funding will be exhausted soon.

If you need help with air conditioning repairs or replacement please contact the agency as soon as possible. Please call to see if you qualify. 337-905-6000.

Mobile Workforce Center

The Mobile Workforce Center will be in Grand Lake on Monday, June 27, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Cameron Council on Aging, located at 965 Hwy. 384.

They will offer help with resume writing, job searches and HiRE assistance.

Annual Meeting

The Cameron Council on Aging is planning for their annual meeting to be held on Tuesday, June 28, at Grand Lake Communtiy Church on Hwy 384 in Grand Lake. The annual membership drive will be held from May 16-27.

To become a member of the Council on Aging you must be age 60 and over or a volunteer for the agency age 18 and over. Call 337-905-6000 and dial 0 to leave your name and telephone number. A staff member will call you back and complete the assessment.

Board members are selected by the rest of the board based on individual leadership qualities, interest in aging services and potential ability to contribute to the goals of the agency.

Board meetings are held quarterly at 12 noon on the last Monday of the month.
