20th Annual Cameron Fishing Fest to kick off with Captain’s Night

The 20th Annual Cameron Fishing Festival will be held Friday and Saturday, Aug. 2-3, at the Lighthouse Bend Complex, 189 Davis Rd., Cameron.

The kickoff will be Captain’s Night on Thursday, July 25, from 6 – 8 p.m. There will be live music by Conner Haynie. Purchase shirts, caps, discounted tickets which includes fish dinner. Door prizes will be given.

6 p.m. – Weigh station closes

8 p.m. – Live Auction

8:30 – 10 p.m. – Layne Touchet

10 p.m. – Festival closes

Saturday, Aug. 3

Offshore & Bay Fishing Competition Continues

11 a.m. – Festival gates open

11 a.m. – Silent Auction opens

1 p.m. – Corn hole tournament

1:30 – 4 p.m. – Backroads Band

2 p.m. – Weigh station opens

2:30 – 4 p.m. – Wands and Whimsy – Fairytale Characters

4 p.m. – Children’s Crab Races (crabs provided)

4:30 – 7 p.m. – Geno Delafose and French Rockin’ Boogie

5 p.m. – Weigh Station closes

7 p.m. Live Auction and fishing awards

8 – 10:30 p.m. – Beau Young Band

10:30 p.m. – Festival closes

Gates fees are: Friday, $10, Saturday, $15, two-day pass $20 and children 12 and under are free. There will be a waterslide, games and fun.
