The 19th annual Cameron Fishing Festival will be held Thursday through Saturday, Aug. 3-5, at the Lighthouse Bend Complex, 189 Davis Rd., Cameron.

Captain’s Night is set for Thursday, July 27, from 6-8 p.m. Shirts, caps, and discounted tickets may be purchased. Fish dinner, door prizes and live music by Cody Forrest are just some of the fun for the evening.

Cameron Fishing Festival Queen’s Pageant will be held Friday, July 28, at 5:30 p.m. at the Cameron Multi-Purpose Building, 122 Recreation Center Lane, Cameron.

Fishing Festival line-up will be at the Lighthouse Bend Complex.

Thursday, Aug. 3 – 12:01 a.m. Offshore fishing competition begins.

Friday, Aug. 4 – Offshore Fishing Competition continues; 12:01 a.m. Bay fishing begins; 3 p.m. Weigh station opens (located at the marina); 5 p.m. Festival gates open; Silent auction opens; 6-8 p.m. Geno Delafose and French Rockin’ Boogie; 6 p.m. Weigh station closes; 8 p.m. Live auction; 8:30-10 p.m. Steel Shot; 10 p.m. Festival closes.

Saturday, Aug. 5 – Offshore Fishing Competition continues; 11 a.m. Festival gates open; 11 a.m. Silent auction opens; 1 p.m. Inaugural Cornhole tournament; 1:30-4 p.m. Backroads Band ft. BouMan & Terry Beard; 2 p.m. Weigh stations opens; 2:30-4 p.m. Wands and Whimsy-Fairytale characters; 4 p.m. Children’s Crab Races (crabs provided); 4:30-7 p.m. Layne Touchet Band; 5 p.m. Weigh station closes; 6:30 p.m. Live auction and fishing awards; 7:30-10 p.m. Beau Young Band; 10 p.m. Festival closes.
Gate fees: Friday $10, Saturday $15; two-day pass $20. Children 12 and under are free. There will be waterslide, games and fun.
