Several Cameron Parish seniors attended LAIA

Cameron LNG sponsored the third annual Lake Area Industry Alliance (LAIA) SWLA Women in Industry forum recently.

Female leaders from the Southwest Louisiana industrial community united with the goal of mentoring female high school senior students from the five-parish region who have shown an interest in STEM-related or industry support role careers.

Cameron LNG subject matter experts representing Engineering, Finance, Information Technology, Project Controls, Safety, and Supply Chain functions were in attendance to offer valuable insight to local students.

During the event, students had the opportunity to network with industry representatives, contribute to round-table discussions with fellow students and industry experts, participate in mock interviews, and have professional headshots taken. Students in attendance are also eligible to apply for a scholarship through the Community Foundation of Southwest Louisiana.

Cameron Parish School System students representing Grand Lake, Hackberry, and South Cameron High Schools were in attendance.
