The Cameron Parish School Board met in regular session on Monday, Jan. 12.
Members present were: Randall Faulk, Sharon Picou, Telesha Bertrand, Robert Kelley. Absent were Joseph Delcambre, Marsha Trahan and Vicki Kiffe.
This was the last meeting at the current school board office located at 510 Marshall St. CPSB Central office is currently housed at South Cameron High School until renovations are completed at the current warehouse location.
Mr. James Hoffpauir announced the Johnson Bayou High School Athletic Field and Track Project is considered substantially complete, with the contractor given 45 days to finalize the punch list, which includes the striping on the track. FEMA obligated $873,589.50 to this project.
According to Hoffpauir, the South Cameron High School gymnasium is ahead of schedule. The contractor is finishing up the pile driving, and has started forming up the pile caps.
