LAGC takes pride in acknowledging and thanking our Legislative Champions for their steadfast support and unwavering commitment to LAGC and its members. Their advocacy and dedication have been instrumental in advancing policies that improve the livelihoods of our members and the broader construction industry. Below are some highlights of the work our legislative champions have supported & implemented on behalf of LAGC and our members.

The award presentations commenced with a quote from the renowned English poet, John Donne: “No man is an island unto himself…,” reminding us that “no organization is either.” This highlights the importance of our industry partners, who are essential to our success. To achieve the impactful accomplishments that we have, LAGC has benefited from countless invaluable partnerships developed over the past 50 years.

Louisiana State Representative Ryan Bourriaque:

Undertook a monstrous and complicated task of reorganizing and reforming DOTD. While necessary, it was complex and is in effect the most complete overhaul of DOTD since the early 1970s. His fortitude, energy and willingness to do ‘the hard work’ was exemplary.
