Police Jury meeting held Monday, Dec. 1

Cameron Parish Police Jury held their Public Meeting Agenda – Voting session on Monday, Dec. 1, at the conclusion of the Morning Agenda Meeting in the Cameron Parish Police Jury West Annex – Board Room, 148 Smith Circle, Cameron.

Jurors in attendance were: President Ronald Nunez, Jr., Dist. 6; Sonny McGee, Dist. 1; Mark Daigle, Dist. 5; Sam Bordelon, Dist. 3; Johnny Watson, Dist. 4; Michael Fewell, Dist. 2 and Wendell Wilkerson , Dist. 4.

After President Ronald Nunez, Jr. called the meeting to order and the Pledge of Allegiance/Prayer were conducted, motion carried made by Michael Fewell and seconded by Sam Bordelon to adopt November 2025 meeting minutes. Motions carried to approve add-ons and approve removals.

Motion carried made by Sonny McGee and seconded by Wendell Wilkerson to Approve All Other Permits:

a. Pistol Bridge RV Park – 117 Sycamore St., Cameron, (proposes to construct 20 RV spaces to vacant parcel which will result in 950 cubic yards of crushed stone or gravel), Cameron Parish, LA. (251201)

b. Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America, LLC – Off Big Lake Road, Big Lake, (NGPL 36-inch Louisiana Line No. 2 PHMSA Immediate Anomaly Repairs; after-the-fact submittal for EUA (25-039), repaired two anomaly locations in Cameron Parish along the existing 36-inch natural gas pipeline. Both sites, Dig 2025-1-F was repaired via a recoat and Dig 2025-2-F was repaired via a welded sleeve), Cameron Parish, LA. (251202)

c. Cameron Land Ventures, LLC – 2151 Trosclair Road,Creole, (proposes to develop the S-Curve Project for Calcasieu Pass LNG and CP2 terminals for helicopter staging, material storage, equipment parking, and laydown operations, which will result in soil stabilization approx. 21.1 acres; construct swale ditches, culverts and a drainage swale, construct two additional driveways, and install a compacted gravel surface or gravel), Cameron Parish, LA. d. Elysium Jennings, LLC – Off Highway 82, Johnson Bayou, (proposes to conduct assessment to establish environmental conditions and regulatory status of the Stream Family LTD Partnership property in response to litigation), Cameron Parish, LA. (251204)

e. ERM – Off Highway 82, Johnson Bayou, (proposes to conduct environmental site investigation to include soil sampling and install monitoring wells in response to litigation alleging soil and groundwater impacts from former oil and gas exploration and production activities), Cameron Parish, LA. (251205)

f. Marshland Equipment Rentals – Cameron Loop Channel, Cameron, (proposes to deploy and maintain 25 Private Aids to Navigation (PATONs) along the western shoreline of Cameron Loop to assist safe navigation of small ferry vessels transporting construction personnel to Monkey Island for the Venture Global project), Cameron Parish, LA. g. ERM – Grand Chenier, Section 12, T15S, R03W; Section 12, T14S, R06W; (Miami Property – Sampling and Debris Removal; proposes to evaluate environmental conditions located beginning in Pecan Lake Gas Field and Little Chenier Oil & Gas Fields associated with SN 26426 from former O&G E&P operations and remove oilfield debris from former structures associated with SN 211076), Cameron Parish, LA. Appointments:

a. Creole Nature Trail Board – Carolyn Miller, term expired (not eligible for reappointment); motion carried made by Sam Bordelon and seconded by Johnny Watson to appoint Jo Dee Roberts.

b. Lower Cameron Hospital District No. 2 – April Young, term expired; motion carried to reappoint made by Sonny McGee and seconded by Wendell Wilkerson.

c. Cameron Parish Ambulance District No. 2 – Kattie Toups, resigned; motion carried made by Michael Fewell and seconded by Sonny McGee to appoint Susan Trahan.

d. Fire Protection District No. 16 Lowry – motion carried made by Johnny Watson and seconded by Sam Bordelon to appoint Ariel Emberly to open seat

e. South Cameron Ambulance District No.1 -motion carried made by Mark Daigle and seconded by Wendell Wilkerson to appoint Ashley Trahan to open seat

Consideration of COR 012REV – North Cameron Emergency Operation Center, increase contract amount by $1,761.97 and increase contract time by 54 days for Cast Stone Delays. Motion carried made by Mark Daigle and seconded by Wendell Wilkerson to reject contract amount of $1,761.97 and increase requested contract time.

Motion carried made by Johnny Watson and seconded by Sam Bordelon in regard to COR 015 – North Cameron Emergency Operation Center, to increase contract time by 29 days, Transformer Delay, no change in contract amount
