Regular Meeting

August 20, 2024
Board President Kathleen Simon called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Board Members present were Ernest Roberts, Kathleen Simon, Beth Ferguson, and Wendy Harrington. Board Members not present were Ronald Nunez and Jessica Crador. Beth Ferguson led the prayer and Wendy Harrington led the pledge of allegiance.
Public Comments: Wendy Harrington talked about an American Flag being found on Holly Beach after Hurricane Rita in 2005. The flag has been donated to the Johnson Bayou Library for public display.
On the motion by Ernest Roberts, seconded by Wendy Harrington, and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted the July minutes.
On the motion by Ernest Roberts, seconded by Beth Ferguson, and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted the financial statement.
On the motion by Ernest Roberts, seconded by Wendy Harrington, and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted to change the remaining Library Board Meeting dates.
On the motion by Wendy Harrington, seconded by Ernest Roberts, and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted to update the Library Employee Classification Steps.
There being no further business and upon the motion by Ernest Roberts, seconded by Beth Ferguson, and carried, the Library Board voted unanimously to adjourn at 5:52 p.m.
