PROCEEDINGS
The Board of Commissioners of Lower Cameron Hospital Service District met in a Special Session on Friday, November 1, 2024, at 8:00 a.m., at the Cameron Parish District Attorney’s office in Cameron, Louisiana. Members present were Chairman Stephanie Rodrigue, Vice Chairman Mary Canik, Vickie Kiffe, Tredale Boudreaux, Kevin Dupke, and Michelle Trahan. Board member Shawn Bonsall was absent. Guest in attendance were Scott Trahan and Cameron Parish Sheriff Deputy Langley.
Stephanie Rodrigue, the chairman, called the meeting to order. A quorum was determined.
Upon motion by Tredale Boudreaux, seconded by Vickie Kiffe, the agenda was unanimously approved.
Upon motion by Mary Canik, seconded by Tredale Boudreaux the Board of Commissioners accepted an offer from Commonwealth LNG to purchase and transfer ownership of the mobile medical unit, retaining possession and full usage of the unit until the temporary South Cameron Memorial Hospital Medical Clinic is elevated and renovated, and authorize the Board Chairman, Stephanie Rodrigue, to execute the transfer, pending legal review and recommendations, and Board review of the documents. Board member Kevin Dupke was opposed to Commonwealth LNG purchasing the mobile medical unit valued at $446,320.00 from the Lower Cameron Hospital Service District.
Upon motion by Kevin Dupke to amend the above motion to add “and consent/approval” the motion died for a lack of a second.
Upon motion by Tredale Boudreaux, seconded by Michelle Trahan to accept the location of the signage of Commonwealth LNG on the Mobile Medical unit.
It was noted that the next regular meeting was previously scheduled for Thursday, November 19, 2024, at 4 p.m. at the Cameron Parish District’s Attorney Office in Cameron, Louisiana. There was no further business, and the meeting was adjourned.
