October 16, 2023
There was a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Water District No. 11 at 6:00 p.m., Monday, October 16, 2023, at the Grand Lake Waterworks office.
PRESENT: Carl Granger, Grace Robideaux, Jerome Verzwyvelt, Wayne Hebert
ABSENT: John T Constance
On motion of Wayne Hebert, seconded by Grace Robideaux approve minutes from the September 18, 2023 regular meeting were approved as previously sent out.
On motion of Jerome Verzwyvelt, seconded by Grace Robideaux and carried unanimously, the bank signature card for the Maintenance Account, Sinking Fund Account and the Short Lived Asset Reserve account will be changed to include the current board members and remove any previous board members. The current board members are Carl Granger, Grace Robideaux, Charles Wayne Hebert, Jerome Verzwyvelt and John T Constance.
On motion of Jerome Verzwyvelt, seconded by Grace Robideaux and carried unanimously, the Contingency Reserve bank account and the Debt Service Reserve bank account will be closed.
On motion of Wayne Hebert, seconded by Grace Robideaux and carried unanimously, Michael Cayd Granger will be given a 6% salary increase.
There was a financial report given for the month ending September 30, 2023 by Helen Williams.
On motion of Grace Robideaux, seconded by Wayne Hebert and carried unanimously, the financial statements for the period ending September 30, 2023 which reflect budget comparison were accepted as presented.
The Superintendent’s Report was presented by Jacob Nunez.
There was a discussion regarding a proposed new subdivision on the corner of Hwy 384 and N Precht Rd. As per our policy, the developer will have all waterlines and tie-ins installed to our specifications. The developer will maintain the installation for one year. After that point, the water district will adopt the lines and they will become part of the public water system.
On motion of Wayne Hebert, seconded by Grace Robideaux and carried unanimously, all bills were approved for payment.
There being no further business, on motion of Jerome Verzwyvelt, seconded by Grace Robideaux and carried unanimously, the meeting was declared adjourned.
