PROCEEDINGS
The Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 10 met in regular session at the Waterworks office located at 6246 Gulf Beach Hwy. in Johnson Bayou and via zoom on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. Members present were Mrs. Connie Trahan, Mr. Wesley Roberts, Mr. Kent Carlson, Mr. Jim Snyder and Mr. Nathan Griffith. Members absent were none. Guest attending were Rhonda Morrison, Carl Trahan, Jeff Landry, Aaron Jinks, Brad Ibert, Dwight Erbelding Police Juror Sonny McGee and CPA Coy Vincent.
It was moved by Mr. Snyder to call the meeting to order.
The pledge was said by all present and the prayer was led by Mrs. Trahan.
Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comment was made.
It was moved by Mr. Roberts and seconded by Mr. Carlson and carried to accept the minutes as read.
Mr. Ibert presented his questions and concerns pertaining to the DHH required double backflow assembly device. He was unhappy with the way the requirement was presented to the customers and the required regulation by DHH. The Board of Directors discussed his concerns and explained that the backflow assembly was required by DHH and the Waterworks must enforce DHH regulations. The Board of Directors will continue to look for alternative solutions for future yearly testing of the device.
Rhonda discussed the emergency water usage for Hackberry WW2. It was moved by Mrs. Trahan to not charge our neighboring entity for water used under the emergency measure as the gesture may be returned in the future if WW10 were in need. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Mr. Carlson and carried.
CPA Coy Vincent presented the 2020 audit. It was moved by Mr. Roberts to approve the 2020 audit. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Mrs. Trahan and carried.
It was moved by Mrs. Trahan, seconded by Mr. Roberts and carried to approve the bills as paid.
With no further business to discuss, it was moved by Mr. Carlson to adjourn the meeting at 7:30 p.m.
