Cameron Parish Mosquito Abatement District No. 1

The monthly meeting of the Board of Directors of Cameron Parish Mosquito Abatement District No. 1 was held at 6:00 p.m., October 24, 2024 at the Cameron Parish Mosquito Abatement office. Board members present were Mitchel Kelley, Thomas Cox, James Boudreaux, Robert Trahan, and Bryce Carpenter. Marck Smythe and Karl Styron were absent.
The meeting was called to order by Thomas Cox, who then asked for approval of the minutes from the last meeting, September 18, 2024. A motion was made by Mitchel Kelley, seconded by James Boudreaux, and carried that the minutes be approved as printed. A motion was made by Robert Trahan, seconded James Boudreaux, and carried to approve the financial statement.
In old business, Mitchel Kelley, made a motion, seconded by Bryce Carpenter and carried, to approve mileage expense for LMCA meeting.
In new business, James Boudreaux, made a motion, seconded by Robert Trahan, and carried to approve full time employee performance reviews.
Next, Mitchel Kelley, made a motion, seconded by Bryce Carpenter, and carried, to approve authorized signers and resolution for the Capital One Bank account.
In conclusion, a prospective contract back up pilot and a rough draft of the 2025 budget was discussed.
The next meeting will be determined at a later date. There being no further business, a motion was made by Mitchel Kelley, seconded by James Boudreaux, and carried to adjourn the meeting.
