PROCEEDINGS
April 13, 2022
There was a public hearing of the Board of Commissioners of Water District No. 2 at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at the Hackberry Waterworks office.
PRESENT: Mr. Michael Fewell, Mr. Mark Trahan, Mr. Donald Buford, Mr. Mike Welch, Mr. Brad Hinton
Employees present: Mr. Glenn Welch, Mr. Dalton Nunez, and Mrs. Shaun Kyle
The Hearing was called to order by Board President Michael Fewell to consider levying additional or increased millage rates without further voter approval or adopting the adjusted millage rates after reassessment and rolling forward to rates not to exceed the prior year’s maximum.
Public Comment period was given and no comments were made.
On motion of Brad Hinton, seconded by Donald Buford, and carried unanimously, the hearing was declared adjourned.
There was a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Water District No. 2 at 7:10 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at the Hackberry Waterworks office.
The meeting was called to order by Board President Michael Fewell who also led the pledge and prayer.
Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comments were made.
On motion of Brad Hinton, seconded by Donald Buford and carried unanimously, the minutes from the March 9th, 2022 meeting and the April 13th, 2022 hearing were approved.
On motion of Brad Hinton, seconded by Donald Buford and all remaining members voting YES, the Board elected to adopt the adjusted millage rate of 5.71 mills.
On motion of Brad Hinton, seconded by Donald Buford and all remaining members voting YES, the Board elected to set forth the adjusted millage rate and roll forward to millage rate not exceeding the maximum authorized rate of 5.72 mills.
Monthly Operator updates were presented by Glenn Welch and Dalton Nunez.
After reviewing all quotes presented, on motion of Mark Trahan, seconded by Donald Buford, and carrying unanimously, the Board elected to purchase an Elite Badboy mower for $4,999.
The Financial Report for the month ending March 31, 2022 and updates were presented by Shaun Kyle.
On motion of Donald Buford, seconded by Mark Trahan and carried unanimously, all bills were approved for payment.
Our next meeting will be Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 6:00 p.m.
There being no further business, on motion of Mark Trahan, seconded by Brad Hinton, and carried unanimously, the meeting was declared adjourned.
