Grand Lake Hornets boys basketball coach Mark Caldwell has reached a career milestone earning his 200th victory as a coach earlier this season. This is Caldwell’s second stint as head coach at GLHS with prior stops at Iowa and Lake Arthur.

In his first stint at GLHS, Caldwell won multiple district championships and made a semifinal appearance, setting the bar for the program.

Coaching runs in his family as his father was once the head girls basketball coach and his mother was a teacher so there’s a lot of connection involved with coaching and education.
