The Cameron Parish Gravity Drainage District No. 7 board met for a regular meeting at 4:30 pm on Monday, December 15th, 2025, at the Drainage District 7 office.
Members present: Robert Trahan, Russell Badon, Don Trahan, Rogerest Romero, Rodney Billiot
Employees: Marsha Trahan, Scotty Badon, Kristopher Trahan, Josh Trahan
Meeting was called to order by Don Trahan

Public Comment-none
Rodney Billiot made a motion, seconded by Rogerest Romero and carried to approve November meeting minutes.
On a motion by Robert Trahan, seconded by Russel Badon and carried, the board approved invoices and payment of bills.
On a motion by Russell Badon, seconded by Rogerest Romero and carried to accept receipt of financial statement, budget to actual comparison and report of current investments.
On a motion by Rodney Billiot, seconded by Robert Trahan and carried, the budget for year ending December 31, 2026 was adopted.
On a motion by Russell Badon, seconded by Rogerest Romero and carried, it was accepted to advertise for RFP’s for limestone for year 2026.
Discussion of purchasing shirts for employees will be considered in January, after prices and monograming are received.
Salinity readings were reported as fresh by Josh Trahan.
Acknowledgement was given to Mr. Alan Lacoste MD for his donation to LSU Health Foundation in honor of Drainage District 7.
On a motion by Russell Badon, seconded by Rogerest Romero and carried, executive session was entered for the purpose of employee evaluations. Russell Badon recused himself from Scotty Badon’s evaluation.
On a motion by Russell Badon, seconded by Rogerest Romero, executive session was closed and the meeting returned to regular session.
On a motion by Robert Romero, seconded by Rodney Billiot and carried, Scotty Badon received a raise; Russell Badon recused.
On a motion by Russell Badon, seconded by Rogerest Romero and carried, Marsha Trahan received a raise.
On a motion by Rodney Billiot, seconded by Rogerest Romero and carried, Josh Trahan received a raise.
Discussions for a new hire and the decision to begin advertising for the position will be added to the January 2026 meeting agenda.
Rodney Billiot made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Robert Romero and carried.
