The Cameron Parish Gravity Drainage District No. 7 board met for a regular meeting at 4:30 pm on Monday, November 24th, 2025, at the Drainage District 7 office.
Members present: Robert Trahan, Russell Badon, Don Trahan, Rogerest Romero;
Members absent: Rodney Billiot

Meeting was called to order by Don Trahan
Prayer and Pledge led by Russell Badon
Public Comment-none
Russel Badon made a motion, seconded by Robert Trahan and carried to approve October meeting minutes.
On a motion by Rogerest Romero, seconded by Robert Trahan and carried, the board approved invoices and payment of bills.
On a motion by Russell Badon, seconded by Rogerest Romero and carried to accept receipt of financial statement, budget to actual comparison and report of current investments.
Status of the current link belt repair was discussed. Scotty informed the board that the gearbox was successfully replaced with relief valves.
Scotty Badon updated the board on the South Hwy 82 drainage project. Scotty reported that current progress has reached 2800 ft from the bridge of the Yellow Gate Road structure. A budget increase for next year was suggested to account for the cost of the finished structure including metal, lumber, and contractor labor required.
Discussion of retirement and plans to hire replacement employee was tabled until the next meeting on a motion by Robert Trahan, seconded by Rogerest Romero, to include all board members for a final decision.
On a motion by Rogerest Romero, seconded by Robert Trahan, to approve the following permits.

LCUP# 251202 – NGPL
LCUP# 251204 – Elysium Jennings, LLC
LCUP# 251205 – ERMSalinity readings were reported as high by Josh Trahan, due to the recent drought. Open session included a reminder for all board members to finish Ethics and Harassment training for the year, and to have employee evaluations at the December Meeting.
Rogerest Romero made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Rodney Billiot and carried.
