PROCEEDINGS
The Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 10 met in regular session at the Waterworks office located at 6246 Gulf Beach Hwy. in Johnson Bayou on March 10, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. Members present by roll call were Connie Trahan, Bobbie Trahan, Nathan Griffith, Kent Carlson, and Mark Young. Members absent were none. The employees attending were Rhonda Morrison, Shannon Hebert, and Carl Trahan.
It was moved by Connie Trahan to call the meeting to order.
The pledge was said by all present. The prayer was led by Connie Trahan.
It was moved by Bobbie Trahan to accept the agenda as presented with no additions. The motion was seconded by Mark Young and carried.
A Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comment was made.
It was moved by Kent Carlson, seconded by Bobbie Trahan, and carried to accept the February minutes as read.
The water sector grant was discussed and no updates were available.
The grant received through the parish has not been granted to the Water District at this time.
The Holly Beach storage tank is repaired. Waiting on clearance from DHH to put back in service.
It was moved by Mark Young to adopt the 2026 millage rate of 4.18, which is unchanged from 2025. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Connie Trahan and unanimously carried by Nathan Griffith, Kent Carlson, and Bobbie Trahan.
It was moved by Kent Carlson to authorize the President’s signature on the 2025 Audit Engagement with CPA Coy Vincent. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Bobbie Trahan and carried.
It was moved by Mark Young to authorize the President’ signature on the Compliance Questionnaire with CPA Coy Vincent. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Kent Carlson and carried.
It was moved by Bobbie Trahan to authorize the President’s signature on the Agreed Upon Procedures with CPA Coy Vincent. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Kent Carlson and carried.
It was moved by Connie Trahan, seconded by Kent Carlson, and carried to approve the bank statements and the Actual vs. Budget report for the month ending February 2026.
It was moved by Mark Young, seconded by Bobbie Trahan, and carried to approve the bills as paid.
